A Cool Place To Visit
New York City will soon have a
major new tourist attraction. The
National Cartoon Museum, formerly
the International Museum of
Cartoon Art, which is now
headquartered in Boca Raton,
Florida, will be moving
to New York City.
The National Cartoon Museum
will be opening its exciting new
headquarters  in New York City's
Empire State Building in late 2006.
The new location will house and
display its permanent collection of
cartoons, the largest in the world.
A $20 million collection comprised
of approximately 200,000 original
cartoons, as well as 10,000 books
and 1,000 hours of animation.
